The Federal Fire Service (FFS) has unveiled a new medical intervention scheme for its personnel and increased its interest-free staff loan from ₦200,000 to ₦500,000 as part of renewed efforts to improve the welfare, health, and morale of officers across the country.
The initiatives were announced by the Controller-General of the Federal Fire Service, Jaji Abdulganiyu, during a staff welfare engagement, where he reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to prioritising the wellbeing of personnel while strengthening operational efficiency.
The new measures form part of a broader welfare package designed to provide financial relief, improve access to healthcare, and enhance productivity among officers who risk their lives daily in the protection of lives and property.
Medical intervention scheme
