British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has publicly described the situation in Gaza as “catastrophic and unjustifiable”, breaking his recent silence on the conflict during his first concert since a controversy over rapper Macklemore’s removal from his Loop Tour.
Sheeran made the comments on Saturday, September 19, 2026, while opening his concert at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, United States.
The remarks came after Macklemore was removed from the remaining US dates of Sheeran’s tour following pro-Palestinian comments made by the American rapper during a performance at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey earlier this month.
